Washington softball beat Mount Hood 12–0 in Seattle on Sunday, October 18, according to the Huskies’ official schedule. The result is listed as final, following Saturday’s separate 12–0 win against the same opponent.

The Sunday game had been scheduled for noon. It is a distinct result, not a second report of Saturday’s contest.

Fall competition, not the spring record

UW labels the game Fall Ball. It does not change the spring regular-season record or count as a Big Ten conference victory.

Sunday is the last game currently listed in the schedule’s October fall section. That establishes the end of the published fall slate, not a claim that the team has finished practicing or making personnel decisions.

What can be verified

The official material checked provides the opponent, date, location and score. It does not supply an inning-by-inning account or individual player statistics for this game.

We therefore cannot responsibly identify the winning pitcher, the decisive hit or an individual offensive leader. A 12–0 score alone also does not establish the number of innings played or the way the final margin developed.

What comes next

Our analysis: the useful next step is evaluating the fall performances before assigning spring roles. Three weekend wins are encouraging results, but they do not by themselves settle the rotation, batting order or the quality of every phase.

The published schedule next lists Big Ten play at Rutgers beginning March 19, 2027. It should not be treated as a complete announcement of every intervening spring game. This brief will remain limited to the verified Sunday final unless a fuller official account becomes available.
